Fragrance house
Hollywood Gifts
Hollywood Gifts was officially launched in 2021 by multidisciplinary artist Madeleine Kunkle, growing out of her practice of making clothing for herself, friends, and loved ones during the pandemic. Its name refers to the Hollywood neighborhood near the Walk of Fame, including its gift shops, folklore, and the tension between everyday reality and Hollywood mythology. Kunkle’s creative identity is expressed through hand-drawn clothing, slogans, and graphics, with an emphasis on personal, sincere wearable drawings rather than pure irony. In 2025, the label expanded into fragrance through a collaboration with Los Angeles-based perfumer Maddie Phinney, who developed the scent concept with Kunkle over more than two years. Centerfold, released that year, is a gourmand built around boozy cherry, chocolate, and nut facets, drawing on the film Star 80 and Mon Chéri confectionery. It sold out within weeks on Luckyscent and had received at least three reissues.
