Holynose Parfums
Holynose Parfums was founded in Russia in 2015 by designer Pavel Nikandrov. Its first collection used hand-cast porcelain bottles; after Maria Golovina joined at the beginning of 2017, the brand relaunched with new fragrances in concrete bottles, retaining Ash (Pepel), the first scent from its 2015 launch. Holynose approaches smell as a complex experience and a form of communication, with a creative identity shaped by contrasts between urban and rural environments, architecture, concrete, greenery, natural and synthetic materials, and memories of Moscow and St. Petersburg outskirts. Its work has treated fragrance as an artistic medium through collaborations with photographers, musicians, artists, and cultural projects, including Wall (Stena), first released as an olfactory illustration for the Russian edition of Der Klang Der Familie, and projects recorded in 2022, 2024, and 2025, including work initially created for PUMA MMQ, an audio-tape project, and a collaboration with ChTIVO magazine.
