Honore des Pres

Honoré des Prés was established in Paris in 2008 by Christian David, with a founding story linked to Café de Flore and a name associated with Saint-Germain-des-Prés and the Faubourg Saint-Honoré. Before creating the house, David held marketing roles at Dior and Sisley, where he developed an interest in botanical and nature-based fragrance concepts. Honoré des Prés presents its identity as natural, artistic perfumery for urban consumers, with formulations described as free of synthetic fragrances, colorants, and phthalates. Olivia Giacobetti was the house’s central creative perfumer; her compositions were made with certified organic ingredients and were credited with defining the brand’s natural-perfumery character. By January 2012, the house had developed the We Love New York and Les Verrines d’Honoré lines, and that year it joined the Natural Perfumers Guild. Vamp à New York, a 2010 Giacobetti composition built around tuberose and vanilla, is a prominent example of the house’s approach.
