Hormone Paris

Hormone Paris is a functional fragrance house founded in Paris in 2020. Its approach draws on neuroscience, psychophysiology, olfaction, and aromachology, using research to shape fragrance briefs around emotional experience. The name refers to the ancient Greek hormōn, “to set in motion,” while the brand’s fragrance names mark emotional territories rather than ingredients; its fragrances do not contain hormones, neurotransmitters, or other biological compounds. The collection is organized through ten emotional filters—including calming, focusing, motivating, attracting, bonding, and strengthening—in place of conventional note families. By May 2021, Serotonin was identified as the house’s first fragrance, and This is Not Testosterone became the fourth addition to the This Is Not Neuro Compounds collection in 2024. At Esxence in Milan in February 2025, Hormone Paris introduced a refreshed identity with an updated visual language and refined logo. Its legal notice names Smug LLC of Sharjah Media City, UAE, as owner and operator. This is Not GABA is labeled a bestseller and positioned as a calming fragrance intended to evoke stillness and quiet clarity.
