Fragrance house
House of Artem
Founded by Bryan Elliott and Karimah Bowen, House of Artem records September 9, 2023 as its U.S. first-use and first-use-in-commerce date. Elliott developed his career in major fragrance houses after moving to New York City, while Bowen’s background in Women’s Studies and film-related storytelling helped shape the brand’s identity. Together, they conceived House of Artem as a fragrance house where scent could serve as an art form and a medium for authentic storytelling and cultural expression. Its creative identity translates personal memories, cultural heritage, and human experiences into fragrances designed to connect across generations and cultures. This approach is expressed in Southern Ballad, a 2023 release built around memories of 1990s Atlanta, family road trips, soul music, honeysuckle, and summer. In 2024, Flos Novis was credited to Elliott as perfume maker and creative guide. Artem, LLC is identified as the original applicant and current trademark owner in the record reviewed.
