Fragrance house
House of Mammoth
Founded in 2018 by Benjamin Esposito, House of Mammoth began with handmade bath soap, moved into traditional wet shaving, and developed into a fragrance house centered on storytelling. Esposito is the brand’s owner and perfumer, composing its fragrances from a home studio in New York. Its creative outlook frames the work as wearable art for an absurd world, grounded in connection and attention, while its public identity includes support for anti-trafficking and anti-AAPI-hate causes, including RestoreNYC and Love146. In 2025, Esposito and House of Mammoth announced that the modern Seaforth brand, revived by Dennis of Spearhead Shaving, would continue under House of Mammoth’s care in 2026, with a January relaunch planned. House of Mammoth’s fragrance legacy includes Voices, a collaboration with Elaine Lee and the Lather Talk podcast that won the Artisan Category at the 2023 Art and Olfaction Awards and received the 2023 Golden Pear. The scent interprets Southeast Asian cuisine through a sweet-savory concept associated with mango, pandan, sticky rice, coconut milk, vetiver, orris, and wood.
