HRH Princess Elizabeth
HRH Princess Elizabeth is a fragrance label associated with Princess Jelisaveta Karađorđević of Yugoslavia, who was born in Belgrade as the daughter of Prince Pavle of Yugoslavia and Princess Olga of Greece and Denmark. After Yugoslavia’s monarchy was overthrown in 1941, she was separated from the country and lived in Kenya, South Africa, Greece, France, the United States and the United Kingdom. She returned to Yugoslavia in the late 1980s, renewing her involvement with the country. The label’s first fragrance, E, was created and released in 2002. Princess Elizabeth developed E and Jelisaveta with perfumer Sophia Grojsman at International Flavors & Fragrances in New York, with Merv Griffin helping realize the project. The fragrances draw on personal memory and white-floral imagery inspired by her grandmother’s garden. Jelisaveta, the second fragrance, was initially launched in the United States as Mon Ange before being relaunched in Serbia under its present name. E is described as Princess Elizabeth’s signature perfume and was twice nominated for Perfume of the Year by the Fragrance Foundation in New York.
