Fragrance house
Hugh Parsons
Hugh Parsons was founded in London in 1925 by Hugh Edward Lancelot Parsons at 99 Regent Street, initially making silk ties and accessories. Its design language drew on Savile Row and Jermyn Street tailoring and tie-making, while Parsons’s military background also informed the brand’s aesthetic. The house later extended its men’s-accessories identity into fragrance, launching its first eau de parfum in 1998. Traditional, that first fragrance, is described on the official site as the brand’s best seller. The collection is organized around London places, pairing geographic references with the brand’s tailoring heritage and a fragrance identity that combines British style and London inspiration with a Made in Italy orientation. Profumitalia is identified as Hugh Parsons’s parent company. In 2018, Profumitalia presented Hugh Parsons Notting Hill at the TFWA exhibition; Maurizio Cerizza created the fragrance, which was presented as a contemporary continuation of the brand’s London-oriented style.
