Hunca

Hunca is a Turkish cosmetics and personal-care company founded in Istanbul in 1957 by Adnan Hunca. Adnan Hunca had begun commercial cosmetics production in 1950, following earlier work with shampoo and hair soap. The company’s categories include fragrance, deodorant, hair care, skin care, and color cosmetics. Fragrance became an important part of Hunca’s development with the launch of Madigan in 1978, identified as Turkey’s first domestic men’s perfume and aftershave series. Hunca subsequently introduced fragrance brands including Jagler in 1990, Caldion in 1996, Equal in 1998, Extory in 2002, and She in 2006. By 2009, Jagler men’s products were Hunca’s highest-selling products in Turkey, while the She Eau de Toilette series and She deodorants sold the most internationally.
