Ideas by Gul Ahmed is the retail arm of Gul Ahmed, a Pakistani textile group whose roots in textile trading date to the early 1900s. Gul Ahmed entered textile manufacturing in 1953 with the establishment of Gul Ahmed Textile Mills Ltd and was listed on the Karachi Stock Exchange in 1970. Ideas was established in 2003 as Gul Ahmed’s entry into retail, extending the group’s activities into a lifestyle-oriented business spanning clothing, fabrics, and home-related goods. It remains a wholly owned subsidiary of Gul Ahmed Textile Mills Limited.
