Ikks
Founded in 1987 in La Séguinière near Cholet, France, by Gérard Le Goff, IKKS began as a children’s clothing company. Its early junior collections drew on adult fashion, while the name was intended to be pronounced “X.” The brand moved into womenswear in 1999 and menswear in 2003; after joining the Zannier group in 2000, it also expanded into related licensed categories including perfumes, accessories, and luggage. Independent coverage has characterized its established style as contemporary, urban, and rock-influenced. In 2019, creditors including Avenue Capital, CarVal Investors, and Marathon Asset Management took over from LBO France and Roger Zannier’s group. On 12 December 2025, the Paris economic activities court awarded IKKS to entrepreneurs Santiago Cucci and Michaël Benabou, with a planned relaunch centered on menswear and womenswear rather than the junior business.
