Il Profumo

Il Profumo was established in 1997 in Reggio Emilia, Italy, in a small atelier where Silvana Casoli created Chocolat, her first fragrance. Casoli’s creative work draws on her childhood in the Italian countryside, with its olive trees, fruit, and flowers, as well as sensory impressions gathered through travels in Morocco, Peru, China, and Saint-Tropez. This artistic, niche identity is expressed through Casoli’s compositions, selected natural and wild raw materials, and fragrance creation without regard to gender or season. Chocolat, centered on cacao with mandarin and nutmeg accents, is identified as Casoli’s first masterpiece and a keystone of the brand’s identity; other highlighted creations include Aria di Mare, Ambre d’Or, and Fleur de Bambù. On 30 August 2019, ownership of the fragrance trademark transferred from CVL to Dispar S.p.A.; the current website identifies Il Profumo as belonging to Dispar SpA.
