Fragrance house
Il Profvmo
Il Profvmo was founded in 1997 in Reggio Emilia, Italy, when Silvana Casoli created Chocolat in a small atelier and laboratory. Casoli, the founder, perfumer, and central creative figure, draws on nature, botanical materials, personal emotion, childhood landscapes, and travels including Morocco, Peru, China, and Saint-Tropez. The house’s Italian artistic-perfumery identity centers on individually expressive compositions, unexpected associations, refined accords, artisanal creation, and the pursuit of a distinctive olfactory signature. Chocolat, Casoli’s first creation, is the brand’s most emblematic fragrance, built around a chocolate-centered concept. In 2004, Il Profvmo launched Ambre d’Or as part of its Minimalist Fragrances collection, in which each composition focuses on a principal raw material. Ownership transferred from Swiss company CVL to Dispar S.p.A. on 30 August 2019, and Il Profvmo is currently a Dispar brand. In 2021, Ambre Nocturne was launched with Casoli credited as perfumer.
