Ilana Jivago
Ilana Jivago founded JIVAGO Brands in Beverly Hills in 1994. Its first fragrance, 24K, debuted in Cannes that year and launched nationally at major U.S. department stores in 1995. In 1997, Jivago introduced 7 Notes for Women and 7 Elements for Men, linking the fragrances to her interest in music and sound. Millennium Hope followed in 2000, with a circular, prismatic bottle expressing unity, wholeness, and variety. Connect drew on the worldwide disconnection Jivago experienced after 9/11 and was created around reunion, understanding, and hope. The brand’s creative identity uses scent to tell stories involving love, memory, emotion, personal growth, and symbolic meaning; its gold-themed concept expanded in 2011 and 2012 through men’s and women’s fragrances inspired by different shades of gold. 24K is JIVAGO’s defining fragrance, available in women’s and men’s versions, with genuine 24-karat gold presented inside the flacon. The women’s edition was nominated for a FiFi Award in 1996 for innovative technology and recognized in 2012 as an iconic classic fragrance.
