Ilk, which trades as Contradictions In ILK, is a British perfume brand operated through Ilk Parfum Limited, a company registered in England and Wales. Ilk Parfum Limited was incorporated on 1 November 2019, and the brand launched in 2020, co-founded by Annabella Fasano-Leslie and Holly Hutchinson. Its creative identity is built around the idea that “ilk” expresses a person’s essence and around the contradictions of human nature. That idea is expressed through a collection of unisex fragrances designed to be layered: opposing scents can enhance or subdue different facets of one another. The collection’s earliest editions date to 2020 and its newest documented editions to 2022. The paired, layerable Contradictions in ILK collection is the clearest expression of the brand’s fragrance identity.
