Fragrance house
ILMIN Parfums
ILMIN Parfums was founded in Medellín in 2014 by Colombian Natalia Vélez as Colombia’s first niche author-perfumery house. Its identity combines European haute-perfumery tradition with a Latin American perspective: compositions and production take place in Colombia, using materials selected in Europe. Fragrance is treated as an expression of personal identity, memories, and emotional experience, with Vélez’s own memories and feelings shaping the brand’s storytelling and each scent conceived as an olfactory artwork rather than a seasonal trend product. ILMIN House later added AHLI, created four years after ILMIN in honor of Vélez’s daughter Alicia, while ILMIN honored her son Benjamín. The house now presents ILMIN and AHLI as its two fragrance brands, with ILMIN Lab serving as an atelier for bespoke fragrance design, development, and collaborations. In 2025, the house presented its Colombian niche-perfumery work at Colombiamoda. In December 2025, Medellín’s District Council awarded Vélez the Orden al Mérito Don Juan del Corral, Grado Oro, for her contribution to entrepreneurship and the creative industry.
