IMPACTO
Impacto’s documented commercial lineage reaches back to Perfumería Gal, a Spanish fragrance company founded in Madrid in 1898 by Salvador and Eusebio Echeandía Gal with financial backing from Lesmes Sainz de Vicuña. During its postwar development, Perfumería Gal expanded from lotions, powders and soaps into colognes and men’s fragrances. Impacto was initially sold under the Perfumería Gal name, later under Puig after Puig took over Gal, and its license rights are now owned by De Ruy, a Spanish family-owned fragrance and cosmetics company that lists Impacto among the brands it commercializes in Spain. The brand’s eponymous men’s eau de cologne has a fresh-spicy, woody and green olfactory profile.
