In Astra

In Astra is an Italian artistic-perfumery maison founded in 2020 by sisters Sofia and Fabiola Bardelli and publicly associated with Milan. Sofia Bardelli is the house’s perfumer, while Fabiola serves as its creative or art director. In Astra’s creative identity connects artistic perfumery with astronomy, interpreting the characteristics and stories of stars through fragrance. The brand launched its first niche fragrance line during the 2020 lockdown period, framing the project around light, hope, and rebirth during uncertainty. Trained at the Grasse Institute of Perfumery, Sofia created Mismar as her first composition for In Astra, interpreting the North Star through repeated revisions. By 2024, the house had introduced Wega as its fifth fragrance, composed around the star Wega in the constellation Lyra. Released in 2025, Vanant marked In Astra’s first fragrance created with an external perfumer, Bertrand Duchaufour. Across its work, the brand is identified with a star-dedicated fragrance collection and astronomy-based storytelling.
