Indigo Wild
Indigo Wild began in 1996, when Emily Voth and her husband, Todd, started the brand in their kitchen and sold goat’s-milk soap at Kansas City farmers’ markets. The phrase “That sure is zum bar of soap!” gave rise to Zum Bar, which became the company’s signature product line as Indigo Wild evolved into a natural body-care and home-care brand spanning handcrafted soaps, skincare, and home aromatherapy. Its products emphasize plant-based ingredients and distinctive essential-oil scent blends. Across its product families, Frankincense & Myrrh is the top-selling scent. On August 10, 2018, Hammond, Kennedy, Whitney & Company acquired a majority stake; Emily and Todd Voth remained minority shareholders, and HKW currently lists Indigo Wild as an investment.
