invisibobble
Invisibobble began in Germany in 2012, when Sophie Trelles-Tvede and Felix Haffa developed a hair tie inspired by a telephone cord. The idea took shape at a university “bad taste” party, where Trelles-Tvede used an old telephone cord and found it avoided the headache and visible crease associated with her usual hair tie. Within three months, the founders had created the first model; after a year of customer feedback, they began taking the product international. The brand’s identity is built around the spiral, traceless hair accessory, emphasizing comfort, reduced visible marks, reduced friction, and individual self-expression. Invisibobble pioneered the spiral hair-tie style. In 2021, it partnered with Crayola on a limited-edition collaboration combining invisibobble’s product design and technology with Crayola’s color and creative-expression identity. Today, invisibobble is a New Flag brand, with New Flag GmbH as the responsible company.
