Iunx

IUNX was launched in 2003 by perfumer Olivia Giacobetti as a Shiseido-backed line of personal and home fragrances. Its creative founders included Giacobetti and her father, photographer Francis Giacobetti, with perfumer Fabienne Conte also associated with the brand. The original Paris boutique was followed by a presence at Hôtel Costes; after the boutique closed in 2006, a limited selection continued there. That year, Shiseido ended IUNX operations through its French subsidiary and returned the brand to Giacobetti and the Francis Giacobetti–Fabienne Conte-Sévigné team. IUNX returned to a dedicated Paris boutique at 13 rue de Tournon in 2016. Giacobetti has described the house as highly independent, favoring simplified compositions that retain the essential character of an accord. Its numbered Eaux collection includes 03 L’Eau Ivre, 04 L’Eau Aztèque, and 05 L’Eau Qui Pique, which were released again in 2016–2017. In 2019, Giacobetti described Talc as inspired by Japanese Butô and its themes of slowness, poetry, minimalism, calm, and softness.
