Jack Black
Founded in Dallas, Texas, in 2000 by Curran Dandurand, Jeff Dandurand, and Emily Dalton, Jack Black was created to address a gap in men’s grooming: high-quality, effective products that were easy to use and suited to men who did not want lengthy skincare routines. Its early identity combined uncomplicated, multifunctional grooming with a masculine yet approachable presentation, expressed through a straightforward skincare philosophy. From an initial launch of 10 products, the brand had developed by 2015 into a broader men’s grooming business while emphasizing continuity with its privately owned, quality-focused origins. Edgewell Personal Care completed its acquisition of Jack Black, L.L.C., on March 1, 2018, moving the brand from founder-owned independence into Edgewell’s personal-care portfolio. Today, Edgewell presents Jack Black as a men’s skincare and grooming brand focused on skin and body care, while retaining its uncomplicated skincare positioning.
