Jaguar

Jaguar traces its origins to September 1922, when William Lyons and William Walmsley formed the Swallow Sidecar Company in England. The first car to bear the Jaguar name, the SS Jaguar 2½ Litre Saloon, was launched in 1935, while the brand’s early identity combined sporting performance, design and engineering, with milestones including the C-Type’s 1951 Le Mans victory and the 1961 introduction of the E-Type. Since 2008, Jaguar Land Rover has operated as a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Motors, with Jaguar and Land Rover retaining distinct identities. In 2021, Jaguar announced plans for an all-new electrified portfolio and stated an aim to become an all-electric luxury brand from 2025. Its recent “Copy Nothing” identity includes a new Device Mark, reinterpreted monogram, Leaper maker’s mark and strikethrough graphic; the Type 01 name links historic Jaguar models with zero tailpipe emissions and a new generation. Jaguar fragrances are a licensed extension of the automotive brand: Lalique Group acquired the fragrance licence in 2002, and Jaguar Classic was the first scent released under it. The fragrance line is predominantly masculine and rooted in classical perfumery, with imagery linked to style, performance and modernity.
