Jean Louis Vermeil
Jean Louis Vermeil is a French fragrance label with documented roots in CMC Paris & Jean Louis Vermeil, a French société anonyme registered on 1 July 1983 whose activities included manufacturing perfumes and toiletries. Its recorded fragrance history begins with Maïssa in 1987 and includes Imagine in 1989, with releases documented through 2000. Vermeil Pour Homme is an expression of the label’s creative identity, presented in a tabletop-lighter-style bottle that began a line using that format. The company entered liquidation proceedings that closed for insufficient assets under a judgment dated 16 January 2008. Separately, the registered perfume trademark Vermeil had been owned since 2001 by the U.S. company Delta Perfume House Inc.; this does not establish ownership of every Jean Louis Vermeil asset. Later documentation describes the brand’s manufacturer and distribution history as unclear, while surviving reference records present it primarily as a legacy label with multiple discontinued releases.
