JENNIFER LOPEZ FRAG

Jennifer Lopez’s fragrance venture began in April 2001 through a licensing arrangement with Sweetface; after discussions with Coty in December 2001, Coty sublicensed the GLOW BY J.LO mark in February 2002. Glow by JLo launched later that year as Lopez’s first fragrance. Lopez supplied the concept and creative direction, while perfumer Louise Turner created the scent. Associated with a clean, soapy musk style and an ombré hourglass bottle, Glow’s early success helped establish Jennifer Lopez Fragrances as a major celebrity-fragrance venture and contributed to the wider expansion of celebrity-branded perfumes. In April 2017, Coty sold the fragrance business to Designer Parfums, and the business was relaunched with updated brand innovation and strategy. Today, Designer Parfums lists JENNIFER LOPEZ among the brands it owns or licenses. The brand’s current positioning frames its fragrances around Lopez’s present identity, personal empowerment, inner strength, and self-directed success.
