Jessica McClintock
By 1970, Jessica McClintock had bought out Gunne Sax’s remaining partner and become its sole owner. The brand’s early design language developed from calico prairie dresses toward Victorian, Edwardian, and Renaissance references, while retaining a romantic, occasion-focused identity. It expanded from dresses into accessories, home décor, and fragrance as McClintock developed a broader lifestyle concept centered on dressing women for important occasions. Today, Jessica McClintock, LLC is identified as the brand entity and owns fragrance-related marks including Jessica McClintock LOVE, JMC Jessica McClintock, and Jessica McClintock Gunne Sax. The first Jessica McClintock fragrance launched in select Macy’s stores in 1988. Jessica McClintock and Jessica McClintock Number 3 are identified as signature fragrances that remain part of the brand’s long-term fragrance identity. Across fashion, fragrance, and home products, the brand’s identity is organized around romance, beauty, and an enchanted lifestyle.
