Jill Sander

Jil Sander launched her fashion house in Hamburg in 1968. The first women’s collection was presented there in 1973, and Jil Sander GmbH was founded in Hamburg in 1976. The brand’s design language is associated with modern design, innovation, elegance, functionality, purity of form, craftsmanship, and streamlined style. Its first men’s collection was presented in Milan in January 1997, extending its clear-cut, refined approach into menswear. Raf Simons became creative director in 2005 and designed both womenswear and menswear within the house’s simple, pristine design language. Lucie and Luke Meier became co-creative directors in 2017, and OTB acquired the brand in 2021. Simone Bellotti became creative director in March 2025. Jil Sander entered fragrance and body care in 1979 with Woman Pure and Man Pure. Sun followed in 1989 and, created by Pierre Bourdon, is especially associated with the brand’s fragrance identity as a sunscreen-like scent.
