Juvena

Founded in 1954, Juvena is a Swiss cosmetics brand built around anti-aging skincare, combining Swiss quality standards with scientific research. Its origins reach back to Edmund Georg Locher and Divapharma, a pharmaceutical laboratory founded in Zurich in 1945 to develop skincare with dermatologists. The name comes from the Latin juvenalis, and the brand’s identity centers on youthfulness, skin research, and the study of skin aging. Juvena’s early public image included Sophia Loren as a prominent advertising face, while its lighter-texture “Light-Cremes” were associated with its early identity. Beiersdorf acquired the brand in 1990 and sold it in December 2010 to Austria’s Troll Cosmetics. Troll has remained Juvena’s post-2010 steward, with Juvena Marlies Möller AG identified for responsibilities in Switzerland.
