Juventus
Founded in Turin on 1 November 1897 by a group of friends interested in football, Juventus took its name from the Latin word for “youth.” The Agnelli family’s association with the club continued through successive family presidents, including Giovanni Agnelli from 1947 and Umberto Agnelli from 1955. In 1985, Juventus became the first club to win all available international trophies. Today, it is a publicly listed professional football club whose business also includes brand licensing. Its visual identity was recast in 2017 around the black-and-white shirt stripes, the Scudetto shape and the letter J; in 2020, the mark was reduced to a standalone J. On 13 December 2025, Exor rejected Tether Investments’ unsolicited proposal to acquire its controlling Juventus stake and reaffirmed that it did not intend to sell its shares to a third party. Juventus entered fragrance through the licensed 1897 line in 2008, with men’s and women’s products including 1897 Man and 1897 Woman.
