Kallos

Kallos Cosmetics was founded in Budapest in 1978 by János Kallós, who began developing hair- and skin-care products after operating a professional cosmetics shop. The company initially focused on the needs of professional hairdressers before expanding into retail beauty markets. In 1991, Kallós privatized the company; its production area subsequently expanded and a laboratory was established in Budapest. Kallos’s public identity now spans professional hair care and wider beauty care, including body care and makeup. Ownership changed in 2022, when Főnix Magántőkealap, represented by Diófa Alapkezelő, obtained indirect sole negative control over Kallos Cosmetics and JIN through an investment in Kallos Holding and its acquisition of an ownership interest.
