Kanchaveli

Kanchaveli is a Berlin-based independent fragrance maison founded by Georgian artist Bidzina Kanchaveli after his work with TOM KLARK’S, where earlier aroma and flavor research developed into perfume and other scent-based projects. Before turning to fragrance, Kanchaveli worked in film and screenwriting and made short films and theater works. As the brand’s founder and creative author, he creates fragrances from observed emotional states, treating scent as a medium that can act on perception, memory, and inner states. Its current fragrance concept is organized into a Color Series and an Emotions Series, with the latter built around emotions such as fear, hate, grief, and envy. In a 2024 interview, Kanchaveli described perfume as an art object extending beyond a bottle of liquid, alongside planned scent installations and a book about smell; the brand also presents its bottle as a hand-formed concrete sculpture. The legal imprint identifies Bidzina Kanchaveli e.K., with Bidzina Kanchaveli as proprietor.
