Fragrance house
Kanye West
Kanye West’s public creative identity expanded from music into fashion design. On April 7, 2009, Air Yeezy 1 marked his first major sneaker collaboration milestone, while Parlux announced a worldwide fragrance licensing agreement involving West through Iconic Fragrances LLC. The license covered the development, manufacture, promotion, distribution, and sale of prestige fragrances under his name, with a first product projected for late fiscal 2012. In June 2016, adidas announced adidas + KANYE WEST, a YEEZY-branded entity creating footwear, apparel, and accessories. A 2020 partnership with Gap followed, with West retaining sole ownership of the YEEZY brand. In October 2021, a Los Angeles judge approved his legal name change to Ye. In 2022, Gap ended its Yeezy Gap partnership, and adidas terminated its partnership with Ye, ending production of Yeezy-branded products and payments to Ye and his companies.
