Karma

Karma is a fragrance from Lush rather than a separately identified fragrance house. Lush was founded in 1995 by Mark Constantine, Mo Constantine, Rowena Bird, Helen Ambrosen, Liz Bennett and Paul Greeves after their earlier venture, Cosmetics To Go, failed in 1994; its first shop opened in Poole in April 1995. Created by Mark Constantine in 1995, Karma draws on the counterculture atmosphere of London’s Kensington High Street in 1969. Its name arose during an early Lush shop opening, when a parking ticket for a flower-covered van prompted the remark “bad karma.” Today, the business is organized under Lush Cosmetics Limited, a private company registered in the United Kingdom. Karma is described as a classic Lush perfume that has topped the company’s charts and is identified as its best-selling perfume worldwide. Its olfactory identity combines patchouli, Brazilian orange, pine and lemongrass in an earthy, citrus and aromatic profile.
