Katana

Katana Parfums was initiated at the beginning of 2021 by Alp Veliogulliari, following an interest in traditional Indian oils and incense that began in 2012. He studied natural materials, including oud, and developed perfumes and attars for personal use before turning that work into a commercial perfume house. Designed and developed in France, Katana emphasizes natural materials, Asian olfactory heritage, and the artisanal refinement of raw ingredients into finished perfume compositions. Its public identity presents the katana as an Asian symbol of power, ancestry, precision, and sharpness. The brand’s fragrance development has included collaborations with perfumers Joseph DeLapp, also known as JK DeLapp, and Ahmed Mostafa, who worked with Veliogulliari’s raw materials on further Katana fragrances.
