Kensie
Kensie was created in Vancouver, Canada, by Lani and Eric Karls in 1994. The brand describes its designs as contemporary and suited to women moving between work, leisure, weekdays, and weekends, with a public identity characterized by modern femininity, softness, international styling, and work-and-play dressing. Before Kensie, Eric Karls began the Canadian brand Almost Heaven in 1984; Lani Karls joined its accessory line in 1994 as creative director, the line became Mac & Jac, and the couple later expanded into clothing with Kensie. On October 24, 2011, Liz Claiborne sold the Kensie, Kensie Girl, and Mac & Jac trademarks to an affiliate of Bluestar Alliance LLC.
