Fragrance house

Kierin

Kierin is an independent, woman-owned American perfumery founded in New York in 2018 by Mona Maine de Biran and Didier Maine de Biran. The founders developed the house from dissatisfaction with conventional fragrance marketing and a desire to create a different kind of fragrance brand. Its creative identity treats fragrance as art, drawing on real urban New York stories and presenting scent without gender-segregated marketing. For its first public fragrance concept, a founder and perfumer Mathieu Nardin translated New York life experiences into scent interpretations. By 2019, Kierin had launched an initial collection of four fragrances and presented itself as a digitally driven, all-gender lifestyle fragrance brand. Its fragrances are arranged in narrative and artistic collections, including Graffiti Art and Tattoo Art, with each scent presented as a chapter or story. The brand’s stated values include diversity, inclusion, equality, vegan formulas, cruelty-free production, and sustainability.
