Kintsugi Perfumes

Kintsugi Perfumes was founded in Prague in 2021 by Martin Švach and Daniel Nikolov. The pair came to perfumery from different fields: Švach from technology and marketing, after exploring male skincare and artisanal candles, and Nikolov from fashion, seeking a more enduring creative direction. The house’s identity draws on the Japanese kintsugi philosophy, which treats repaired breaks, scars, resilience, and transformation as sources of beauty and identity. It presents itself as a Prague-born house crafted in Grasse, bringing together French perfumery tradition and Eastern philosophy in gender-neutral fragrances made with natural essential oils and responsibly sourced ingredients. Švach has been responsible for every formula since the brand’s founding, while Nikolov has helped circulate the work internationally. The house was profiled as an exhibitor at Pitti Fragranze 22. Its fragrance line consists of niche, unisex creations organized around stories of healing, resilience, rebirth, and personal transformation.
