Kiss Cosmetics

Kiss Cosmetics is a United States celebrity fragrance label associated with KISS, the rock band formed in New York in 1973 by Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Ace Frehley, and Peter Criss. KISS developed a public creative identity that combined hard-rock music with theatrical presentation, face paint, flamboyant staging, and recognizable character imagery; this visual language was later used in licensed beauty products. In February 2006, KISS entered a licensing agreement with Gemini Cosmetics covering beauty products and fragrances. Paul Stanley helped shape the fragrance concept as an attitude-driven lifestyle extension of KISS, with packaging built around the band’s logo and makeup icons. The line launched that year as Kiss Him and Kiss Her, the documented male and female KISS fragrances. In 2014, the original lineup was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. After KISS’s final live performance in 2023, its public identity shifted toward digitally represented avatars and future multimedia projects through a collaboration with Pophouse.
