Kiss NY
Kiss NY traces its origins to 1989 in New York, when John Y. Chang, Sung Yong Chang, and Won Shik Kang formed Dae Do, a small artificial-nail business in Flushing. From the beginning, its identity centered on bringing professional-looking nail care into the home. In 1992, KISS entered U.S. national retail under its own name with 18 nail products sold through Walgreens, then broadened its brand architecture in 1997 with the launch of Broadway Nails. In 1999, the company’s over-the-counter division separated from Kiss Products, Inc. and merged with Gold Finger, Inc.; the combined business became Ivy Enterprises, which marketed and distributed KISS and Broadway alongside other beauty categories. The brand also expanded into lashes, hair care, cosmetics, grooming tools, and beauty appliances while retaining its mission of bringing salon-style results home. KISS launched imPRESS press-on manicure in 2012. Kiss New York entered Brazil in 2009 as First Kiss and acquired Brazilian professional hair-accessories brand ProArt in 2022. Its fragrance activity is represented by etleé, brought to Brazil in 2026 as a Korean-perfumery-oriented expansion.
