Kopari

Kopari launched in late 2015 as a direct-to-consumer beauty brand founded by Kiana Cabell, Bryce Goldman, Gigi Goldman, and James Brennan. Its founding concept grew from the founders’ shared interest in coconut oil, which became the basis for multipurpose beauty and body-care products combining the ingredient with others and formulation technology. In 2016, the brand moved into traditional commerce through QVC and a national Sephora partnership. L Catterton made a growth-capital investment in Kopari on January 25, 2017, alongside celebrity investors. Based in San Diego, California, Kopari had broadened its range by 2024 beyond coconut oil into clean beauty products using additional natural ingredients, with a particular focus on prestige body suncare. Its current identity brings together nature-derived ingredients, targeted actives, clinical-result claims, and sensorial textures and scents. In fragrance, Kopari identifies a sweet coconut-milk-and-vanilla profile as its signature and extends that scent identity through a fragrance-mist collection.
