Korres

Korres Natural Products was founded in Athens in 1996 by pharmacist Giorgos Korres, after his work at Greece’s oldest homeopathic pharmacy and demand for products developed there. From the outset, the brand pursued natural skincare combining clinically effective formulations with Greek herbs and pharmaceutical expertise; chemical engineer Lena Philippou Korres joined at the beginning, and the founders described a direction linking nature, science, transparency, sustainability, and Greek heritage. The business grew from pharmacy remedies into a broader natural-cosmetics company, establishing a formulation lab in 1999, an extraction lab in 2006, and a molecular research lab in 2007. By 2002, Korres was reported as combining natural ingredients and traditional Greek materials with scientific knowledge while expanding from Greece into international retail markets. Today, its public identity centers on Greek nature, scientific formulation, applied research, and in-house design. In fragrance, Black Sugar Eau de Toilette appears in Korres UK’s best-sellers collection and is described as an ambery-floral scent.
