Koto Parfums

Created in 2005 by Nathalie Gourbeyre, Koto Parfums developed, manufactured, and distributed fragrances and cosmetics in France and internationally, with a focus on licensed children’s fragrances. Its early licensed work included Le Manège Enchanté, followed by Arthur et les Minimoys in 2006 and Hello Kitty in 2008. The Hello Kitty line was a defining Koto Parfums fragrance line, and its perfumes ranked among the best-selling children’s fragrances. The original Hello Kitty fragrance, launched in 2008, was credited to perfumer Drom and classified as a floral-fruity gourmand. Following judicial reorganization, the Lyon Commercial Court approved the transfer of Koto Parfums’ plan and assets to CSS Consulting on 30 May 2018, while converting the proceedings into liquidation. Those proceedings closed for insufficient assets on 27 November 2024, after which Koto Parfums was removed from the Lyon commercial register.
