L'Aventura

L’Aventura is an independent perfume house associated with Santa Fe, New Mexico, and Seattle, Washington. Its public web presence was established by May 28, 2019. The house creates uncommon, non-binary fragrances intended to move beyond conventional boundaries of gender, time, and place, with atmospheric compositions inspired by personal experiences and open to individual interpretation. Perfumer Jessica Mara frames the fragrances as autobiographical records of experiences, people, and places. One example is The Faraway, a 2019 fragrance inspired by the high-desert landscape near New Mexico’s Rio Chama. L’Aventura also emphasizes artisanal production: its fragrances are made in small batches and mixed, aged, bottled, and packaged by hand in Santa Fe or Oak Harbor.
