L'Bel
L’Bel is a beauty brand within Belcorp, the direct-sales beauty corporation founded by Eduardo Belmont. Its documented origin reaches back to 1985, when Belmont launched the Ebel brand in Colombia. In 1988, the Belmont brothers’ business divided: Fernando retained Unique-Yanbal, while Eduardo founded Belcorp, whose brands included L’Bel, ésika, and Cyzone. L’Bel’s stated identity is centered on skin care and health, with science and high technology as allies and beauty as its reason for being. A notable chapter came in 2003, when Belcorp attempted to reposition Ebel as Ebel París; Yanbal challenged the name’s implication of French origin, prevailing in proceedings in Colombia and Peru in 2003 and 2004. Its fragrance portfolio includes Mon L’Bel, listed among the brand’s featured products; fragrance reference Parfumo records the women’s floral-oriental scent as a 2019 release marketed by Belcorp.
