L’Occitane Au Brésil

L’Occitane au Brésil was launched in 2013 by the L’OCCITANE Group as its first brand created from scratch outside France, using locally sourced Brazilian ingredients. From the outset, it drew on Brazil’s ecosystems and worked with Brazilian artists, later widening its storytelling to encompass the country’s natural and cultural heritage. Its identity brings French cosmetic tradition and expertise together with Brazil’s forms, colours, plurality and spontaneity. By December 2016, the brand had moved from a retail concept resembling traditional street fairs toward the Casa Brasileira identity, developed with Centdegrés. In September 2018, it marked five years with a new logo and visual identity developed with Pharus to reconnect its French essence with Brazilian beauty. Today, it spans fragrances, body care and hair care, inspired by Brazilian biodiversity, culture and local ingredients, and remains part of the L’OCCITANE Group. In 2024, L’Occitane Groupe S.A., the group’s controlling shareholder and an entity ultimately controlled by Reinold Geiger, offered to acquire the remaining shares of L’Occitane International; L’Occitane International completed its delisting from the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in October that year.
