La Belle Mèche

La Belle Mèche was co-founded by Laura and Pierre, who began developing the brand in 2013 after leaving Paris and choosing the scented candle as a French-made, environmentally minded product. Its online shop launched on 18 November 2013, presenting decorative and scented candles with compositions developed alongside a perfumer from Grasse. Created in the Drôme and later moved to Lyon in 2016, La Belle Mèche began as an online-only venture before becoming a broader home-and-body fragrance brand encompassing candles, diffusers, soaps, and eaux de Cologne. Its olfactory identity favors straightforward, figurative fragrances that revisit classics through unusual combinations, evoke everyday pleasures and happy memories, and retain a contemporary signature. The brand’s fragrances are composed in France without CMR substances, within an identity shaped by simplicity, audacity, creativity, and responsibility.
