La Crisalide

La Crisalide is an artistic perfumery in Cento, Ferrara, Italy, founded by Monica Polacchini in 2005. Based at Via Borgo del Ghetto 5, it curates niche fragrances and other sensory products, selecting creations associated with artisan makers. Its identity is framed through the chrysalis-to-butterfly image: an approach to perfumery built around art and passion, with customers imagined as leaving transformed. In 2023, La Crisalide launched Wishkey, its own exclusive fragrance line, after a project developed over several years. The collection translates travel destinations and personal travel experiences into scent; its initial release comprised seven fragrances created collaboratively by Monica, Cecilia, and Ludovica. The perfumery has also developed three bespoke fragrances with Vincent Gambino—Makai, Monique Tres Chic, and Mariposa—through a collaborative process.
