LA PERLA BEAUTY

La Perla was founded in Bologna, Italy, in 1954 by Ada Masotti, a master corset maker. By 1965, the business had expanded from corsetry into lingerie, nightwear, and women’s beachwear, and in 1981 Masotti’s son Alberto took over management during a period of international expansion and development as a luxury lifestyle brand. It entered perfume in 1986 with its first fragrance, La Perla. In 2019, La Perla Fashion Holding announced La Perla Beauty as a beauty-focused extension spanning fragrance, cosmetics, and skincare. La Perla Beauty launched La Perla Eau de Parfum in 2021 as its first signature scent, with a composition built around violet leaves, jasmine, and vetiver. On October 1, 2025, assets of the La Perla Group, including the brand, were transferred to La Perla Atelier S.r.l., controlled by investor Peter Kern.
