La Sultane de Saba
La Sultane de Saba was founded by Vanessa Sitbon, drawing on beauty traditions inherited from her family’s hammam in Fez, Morocco; its first professional and cosmetic spa products date to 1998. Its identity combines ancestral beauty rituals passed from mother to daughter with a travel-inspired sensory concept shaped by Oriental, Asian, Indian, and other cultural traditions. From its beginnings in spa cosmetics and treatments, the brand developed into a broader structure organized around themed “Journeys,” with fragrances and wellness experiences central to its public identity. Its work received the H. Pierantoni Innovation Award in 2006 for L’Essentiel and a CosmetiqueMag award in 2007 for Voyage Balinais; its Ayurvedic Massage Set was nominated for a CosmetiqueMag Oscar in 2010. In 2011, La Sultane de Saba partnered with Groupe GM on an oriental-inspired hospitality-products range. The brand is especially associated with oriental fragrance families and travel-themed scent collections, including Voyage sur la route des épices, an amber, vanilla, and patchouli fragrance identified among its bestsellers. Amber is also associated with the brand: Sitbon named it as the scent she especially connected with childhood, and the 2011 hospitality range was amber-perfumed.
