LabSolue
Founded in Milan in 2013 by sisters Giorgia and Ambra Martone, LabSolue represents the third generation of the Martone family’s fragrance business. Its history reaches back to 1940, when Vincenzo Martone established Marvin as a pharmaceutical company in Milan; the business later diversified into cosmetics and fragrance. In 1975, his son Roberto founded ICR Industrie Cosmetiche Riunite, shifting the family enterprise toward perfume creation and production for Italian designers and luxury brands. LabSolue’s name combines “Laboratory” and “Absolute,” reflecting a connection between technical perfume-making knowledge and natural fragrance materials. The Martone family retains ownership of the historic Marvin building and continues to run LabSolue as a family business. Its gender-free fragrances are organized into three olfactory groupings: Fruits and Aromatics, Flowers, and Woods and Resins. 207 Liquidambar, created by Yann Vasnier, is one of the laboratory’s best-selling scents.
